Attendance

  Support for LearningKeeper Student Attendance Tracker In this section we will address: What is an attendance tracker? How do I enter attendance? How do I edit attendance after it has been entered?   What is an attendance tracker? Record when you have done school, sick days, or vacation days for your students in one, easy to use window. Entry can be done for one or more children at a time.     How do I enter attendance? To enter attendance go to my.learningkeeper.com and login. Click on the black Portfolio icon. Once you are in a student profile, click on the attendance icon. Next click on the blue ‘Add Attendance’ icon. Choose the correct date using the calendar tool. Then select the type of day. You can choose from: full day, half day, sick day, vacation or holiday. If you wish to add multiple students at the same time simply type additional students in the search box and select their name.  Then click the green ‘add’ button and your student’s  homeschool attendance will be saved. How do I edit attendance after it has been entered? To edit attendance go to my.learningkeeper.com and login. Click on the black Portfolio icon. Once you are in a student profile, click on the attendance icon. There are two ways you can edit attendance: 1. Scroll down, select the box next to the attendance line you  wish to edit. Check the box and press the ‘delete’ button. This will delete that line and you can re-enter attendance following the steps outlined above. 2. Scroll down to the line you wish to edit. Hover your mouse over the term in the highlighted section and click on the term once you see the hand icon. Next, click the attendance icon button. Support for LearningKeeper Notebook In this section we will address: What is the Notebook? How do I add notes to the Notebook? How do I edit my notes? What is the Notebook? A flexible notebook for recording thoughts, setting goals, planning, or making general notes. How do I add notes to the Notebook? To add notes to the Notebook simply login at my.learningkeeper.com. Next, click on your child’s black ‘Portfolio’ button. Once inside your student profile click on the Notebook icon. Type your notes and click on the green plus sign on the right side to save. Grade Book

  Support for LearningKeeper Student Grade Book In this section we will address: What is the grade book feature? How do I enter a grade? How do I get a grade summary report?   What is the grade book feature? Record grades with the option to link to an Achievement and export a running report at anytime.   How do I enter a grade? To enter a grade you need to login at my.learningkeeper.com. Next, click on the ‘home’ button to view your students. You can access the grade book by clicking the ‘Grade Book’ shortcut or by clicking the black ‘Portfolio’ icon. Once you are in the student profile click the Grade Book icon, select the correct subject on the left hand side and click the blue ‘Enter a New Grade’.  Add the Title, Subject, date, and grade in % format. Click the green ‘Add’ button.   How do I get a grade summary report? To get a grade summary report you need to login at my.learningkeeper.com. Next, click on the ‘home’ button to view your students. Now  click on the black ‘Portfolio’ icon. Once you are in the student profile click the blue icon that says ‘Create/Save a Grade Summary’. LearningKeeper will generate a grade report summary in Excel and it will be available next to ‘Grade Report Summary’ on the right hand side of your student profile. Learning Log

  Support for LearningKeeper Learning Log In this section we will address: What is the Learning Log? How do I add a Learning Log entry? Are the Learning Log entries for each child or more than one child?   What is the Learning Log? This journal is the place to enter what your child has done on a daily or weekly basis. There is an entry block for the subjects you choose to create for your student and can be tailored to your schooling method. These notes will be a section of the student’s.   How do I add a Learning Log entry? To add to a Learning Log you need to login at my.learningkeeper.com. Next, click on the ‘home’ button to view your students. You can access the Learning Log by clicking the ‘Learning Log’ shortcut or by clicking the black ‘Portfolio’ icon. Once you are in a student profile scroll down and you will see a Learning Log for each subject. Simply have your child write a note in their Learning Log and click the green ‘plus’ sign to save. Achievements

  Support for LearningKeeper Student Achievement Tracker In this section we will address: What an Achievement is in LearningKeeper’s homeschool software. How to enter a student Achievement in LearningKeeper.    What is an Achievement? An achievement is where you went, what you did, and what your learned. Our signature Achievement feature brings your portfolio to life. Attach photos, videos, scanned (or photographed) paperwork, PDFs, URLs, documents, notes, any anything else you’d like to your child’s Achievements. You have the option to mark objectives that are met by each achievement. An achievement might be a chapter test, a project presentation, a report, or even a learning interview. The possibilities are endless!    How do I enter an Achievement? The first step is to login at my.learningkeeper.com. You can access Achievements through the Gold Star shortcut or through the Black Portfolio button for any child. Once there, click the ‘Achievement Star’ then the blue ‘Add an Achievement’ button in the bottom right hand corner. Give the Achievement a name, select which child (more than one child can be selected) and what subject. Select whether it is complete or not, and add any objectives that you would like to tag. Next, you will name and upload your file by simply clicking Browse to find your picture or video. You can also add a URL. Always click the green plus on the right side. This must be done after each file is added. When you are finished adding files, click the green ‘Add’ button at the bottom and you have successfully added an Achievement.   Support for LearningKeeper Student Reading Log In this section we will address: What is the Reading Log? How do I enter a book in the Reading Log? How do I add projects or reports to the Reading Log?   What is the Reading Log? You and your child can keep track of books read for fun or school in the Reading Log. Even add a photo of the book cover, a book report, project, or even a drawing about your favorite character. The possibilities are limitless.       How do I enter a book in the reading log? The first step is to login at my.learningkeeper.com. Click on ‘Home’ to see your students. You can access the Reading Log for your child by clicking the Reading Log shortcut icon or via the black Portfolio button. Next, click the Reading Log icon within your child’s profile and click the blue ‘Add Reading Log’ button. Fill in the entry form, the fields in red are always required. On the right side you can upload an image for your book. This can be a photo of the book or an image from another source.  Once the book is completed make sure you check the ‘Completed?’ box.
